Where does funding for scholarships come from?

Private donations
Donations can be made with the option of awarding in the name of individuals, organizations and businesses. Permanent funds may be established with a larger contribution. Interest income from these permanent funds ensures perpetual yearly scholarships. In addition, GoVS may be named as a beneficiary in a will and in insurance policies or may receive gifts of property.

Additional fundraisers
Fundraising in recent years has included selling holiday roping in the Vinton area, conducting raffles at local auto racing events, hosting a donkey basketball game and holding raffles during home football games. New volunteers are always welcomed for these worthwhile events.
